This interactive program was developed for children in Grades 3 & 4 Health and/or Phys. Ed classes.

You can either choose to conduct this program by using our lesson plan, or contact us to attend your school and we'll provide the lesson for you. (Limited engagement) Contact us today!

Goals

Manitoba Egg Farmers' Education Program has been developed for school-aged children (grades 3 & 4) to:

  • Explore nutrition and healthy choices
  • Identify activities that can contribute to an active lifestyle

Main Messages

Why it's important to be healthy:

  • Helps children grow, develop and do well in school
  • Settles children to be more attentive and read to learn
  • Improves memory, concentration levels, problem-solving, creative thinking (poor nutrition is associated with poor learning)
  • Prevents health problems such as obesity, diabetes and tooth decay
  • To be your best!

What you can do to be healthy:

  • Follow Canada's Food Guide
  • Eat a healthy breakfast
  • Pack a healthy lunch
  • Be active
