10 slices white bread (crusts removed), cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) cubes
1 ½ cups (375 mL) ham, diced
3 cups chopped asparagus (about 1 ¼ lb/750 g)
½ sweet red pepper, chopped
2 cups (500 mL) shredded Old Cheddar cheese
6 eggs
3 cups (750 mL) 2% milk
3 green onions, chopped
½ tsp (2 mL) salt
½ tsp (2 mL) pepper
1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp (30 mL) Dijon mustard
Pinch of cayenne pepper

Grease a 9 x 13 inch (23 cm x 33 cm) baking dish. Layer one-third each of the bread cubes, ham, asparagus, red pepper and cheese in the baking dish; repeat to make two more layers.
